Civil Society Organizations Briefing

With the imminent approach of the 53rd PCB meeting, scheduled for 12-14 December 2023, we extend an invitation to join the Global CSO Briefing on 30 November 2023, from 15:00 to 16:30 CET (21:00 – 22:30 Bangkok, 09:00 – 10:30 New York). Please register for this briefing.

Agenda items include discussions on our annual NGO report, focusing on “People living with HIV in humanitarian emergencies,” the thematic segment on “Testing and HIV,” and the follow-up to the 52nd PCB meeting’s thematic segment on “Priority and key populations, especially transgender people, and the path to 2025 targets: Reducing health inequities through tailored and systemic responses.”

Registration for the 53rd PCB meeting remains open. You can register as an NGO observer through this link. Civil society observers may participate either in person (in Geneva) or online, following the 2023 modalities and procedures paper. The registration deadline is November 24, 2023.

Our NGO Delegation

The Programme Coordinating Board (PCB) was created to serve as the governing body of UNAIDS. The PCB includes a Nongovernmental Organization (NGO) Delegation composed of five members and five alternates that represent five geographic regions: Africa, Asia and the Pacific, Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean, and North America.

UNAIDS was established in 1994 through a resolution of the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) and made operational in January 1996.
