Nominate Members for the Civil Society Advisory Group

The NGO Delegation to the UNAIDS PCB is calling for nominations for Civil Society Advisory Group (CSAG) members. The CSAG supports the delegation’s working group in bringing forward pressing issues from a civil society perspective during the development of the thematic segment of the 54th PCB meeting. The topic of the upcoming thematic segment is: “Sustaining the gains of the global HIV response to 2030 and beyond.”

As the global HIV response enters a critical phase, with the goal of ending AIDS as a public health threat by 2030, it is imperative to ensure the sustainability of the progress achieved so far. The thematic segment of the 54th PCB meeting will address this issue by charting a clear pathway for sustainability, including policy and programmatic transformations, community-led implementation, and multistakeholder monitoring and evaluation.

To ensure that the voices and perspectives of civil society are effectively represented in this process, the NGO Delegation is forming a Civil Society Advisory Group. This group will provide valuable insights and guidance on key issues, including access to health technologies, community leadership in research and advocacy, and the socio-legal and ethical dimensions of a sustainable HIV response.

Examples and learnings from countries across different regions and the Joint Programme will be shared during the thematic segment, highlighting best practices and innovative approaches to sustainability.

The Civil Society Advisory Group will play a crucial role in shaping the agenda and format of the thematic day, as well as identifying potential speakers and providing technical and strategic inputs throughout the process.

We invite civil society organizations to nominate individuals with expertise and experience in HIV advocacy, community engagement, policy development, and program implementation. Nominees should have a demonstrated commitment to advancing the rights and well-being of people living with and affected by HIV/AIDS.

Together, let us work towards sustaining the gains of the global HIV response and ensuring that no one is left behind in our journey towards ending AIDS by 2030 and beyond.

To nominate someone for the Civil Society Advisory Group, please complete the nomination form. The deadline for nominations is 15 March. For inquiries, please contact info@unaidspcbngo.org.

Thank you for your engagement and commitment to an equitable and just fight against HIV/AIDS.

UPDATE: The nomination period is now closed. Thank you for your submissions.
