Would you like to be the facilitator for our Strategic Planning Meeting?

The NGO Delegation is gearing up for its Strategic Planning Meeting, scheduled from 15-17 July 2024, to be held in Munich, Germany. This pivotal gathering aims to chart a course for the delegation’s future endeavors, addressing critical global health challenges and refining strategies for impactful advocacy. To ensure the success of this endeavor, the delegation is extending an invitation for a skilled facilitator, preferably based in Europe (due to budgetary constraints), to lead the discussions and guide the participants towards achieving their objectives.

Objectives of the Strategic Planning Meeting

  1. Achieve a deeper shared understanding of the current global health context and its implications on implementing the current Global AIDS Strategy, plus looking forward to the consultative process for the new Global AIDS Strategy which will start in 2025.
  2. Secure agreement around a set of possible strategic goals of the NGO Delegation post 2025.
  3. Improve and increase knowledge of the NGO Delegation’s governance role and function in the PCB and strategies that the delegation and its members can adopt to maximize the impact of their advocacy.
  4. Enhance Delegation members’ capacity to communicate effectively and foster improved team dynamics and interpersonal relationships between and among Delegation members.

The delegation expects the facilitator to do the following tasks under the supervision and in close co-operation with the delegation’s working group:

  1. Develop and finalize the methodology and the training/workshop schedule based on the objectives set out above and the needs of the working group
  2. Conduct the three days of training/workshops
  3. Evaluate the training/workshop
  4. Report on the conducted training/workshops

The expected deliverables of the facilitator are:

  • Scenario mapping of the AIDS landscape and of potential strategies to deal with different scenarios;
  • Successful facilitation of the training/workshop;
  • Evaluation of the Facilitator work, based on evaluation forms received from participants;
  • Technical advice and support to participants during the training/workshop
  • Final Report of the Strategic Planning Meeting.
