The UNAIDS Programme Coordinating Board NGO Delegation is pleased to welcome Jane Bruning of New Zealand as new NGO Delegate for Asia-Pacific.
Jane is the National Coordinator for Positive Women Inc., an organization that supports women and families in New Zealand living with HIV or AIDS and focuses on advocacy and awareness especially around the destigmatisation of HIV. Positive Women Inc. is strongly involved in regional networks and is a member of the Asia Pacific Alliance (APA) and works collaboratively with the Pacific Islands AIDS Foundation (PIAF) and other Australian organizations. As New Zealand Alternate Delegate for the Asia Pacific Network of People Living with HIV/AIDS (APN+), she was nominated by the network to assume its seat on the Delegation for the 2011-2012 term.
As a woman living with HIV, Jane aims to brings the voices of her civil society constituents to the UNAIDS board. You can contact Jane and read her bio on our website.
