Approves the new Programme Coordinating Board NGOs: Felicita Hikuam, AIDS and Rights Alliance for Southern Africa, Rathi Ramanathan, Asia-Pacific Network of Sex Workers, Matthew Southwell, International Network of People who Use drugs, Rhon Reynolds, International AIDS Vaccine Initiative, and Amira Herdoiza, Corporacion Kimirina
Takes note with appreciation of the report of the NGO Representative which highlights the importance of human rights and tackling barriers to an effective response such as stigma and discrimination and gender inequality and requests that the issue of non-discrimination be discussed at a Programme Coordinating Board meeting in 2010 as a substantive agenda item
Approves the themes for the 26th and 27th meetings of the Programme Coordinating Board as “Linking Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) services with HIV/AIDS interventions in practice”, and “Food and nutrition security and HIV: how to ensure food and nutrition security are integral parts of HIV programming”, respectively
Agrees to schedule an agenda item to review progress towards increasing and improving civil society participation and, in particular, to review the implementation of relevant recommendations from the Second Independent Evaluation, in a Programme Coordinating Board meeting in 2010
